Making reservations: Edgewild is ideally situated an easy drive from the Twin Cities in the beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area, the most popular vacation destination in the state. We offer a very secluded, unspoiled, natural setting right along the shores of one of Minnesota's prettiest, sparkling clear and quiet lakes, which makes Edgewild a very popular resort vacation destination. Consequently, during the short summer season when lake cabins are in high demand, we're typically rented at 100% capacity. We accept reservations one year in advance. For the best choice of dates and cabins, reserve your cabin(s) as far ahead as possible. We occasionally have last-minute openings, but because we usually book well in advance (unlike a hotel), last-minute "drive-by" rentals are rare. Each summer we turn away many families looking for cabins because we're fully booked. Consequently, the following policies apply to all reservations:

For all rentals, a $250 deposit/cabin/week or weekend is required within 5 days to hold a reservation. (Sorry, we can no longer accept reservations without a deposit. VISA/Mastercard, personal checks or cash accepted.) If you cancel BEFORE January 1, your deposit will be refunded, less a $25 processing charge. If you cancel AFTER January 1 of the rental year, your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. And if you cancel less than 60 days prior to arrival, YOU AGREE TO PAY FOR ALL APPLICABLE CHARGES DUE FOR THE FULL TERM OF THE RESERVATION even if you arrive late, leave early, "forget" or fail to use the accommodations. If you are unable to use your reserved cabin(s) for whatever reason, you can avoid forfeiting your deposit and full balance due by arranging for someone else to use the cabin in your absence.

Saturday check-in: 3:00 pm or later (sorry, we are not usually able to accommodate early arrivals on Saturdays.) Saturday check-out: by 9:00 am (which is the industry norm, and we ask for everyone's cooperation, despite the early hour.) Please inquire about check-in/check-out times for weekends, short stays and spring or fall vacations. We'll happily accept special requests whenever possible. All Edgewild accommodations are considered housekeeping cabins (which indicates maid or cleaning service is not included in the rental price). You are the "housekeeper" and agree to leave resort facilities in clean, usable, undamaged condition. You agree to register, accept responsibility for the activities of, and pay for any damages caused by, all members in your party, including children, guests or pets.
